Photographer: Tina Finkel

Location: Hollywood Hills, CA

Project Duration: 2024 - 2025

Perched in the Hollywood Hills, this renovation was more than an upgrade — it was a reinvention. When Tears for Fears' Roland Orzabal and his wife, Emily, first approached us, they were ready to sell the home but knew that the outdated bathrooms were holding it back. Instead, they decided to transform them into elegant, eco-conscious sanctuaries, a decision that turned necessity into artistry.

With complete creative freedom, we embraced a palette of natural materials, rich brass accents, and luxurious stone, curating a space that feels both refined and deeply personal. Emily, ever forward-thinking, led the charge in ensuring that sustainability remained at the forefront, influencing everything from the low-VOC paints to responsibly sourced fixtures and finishes.

In the primary bathroom, bold Viola marble takes center stage, creating a sense of moody sophistication balanced by handcrafted cabinetry and warm metallics. The guest bathroom offers a lighter, more effortless take with Jade marble as the highlight; the seat is still luxurious but with a softness that welcomes guests into a tranquil retreat.

More than just a renovation, this project reflects its owners’ artistry. It is an interplay of creativity, sustainability, and timeless design harmonized into a space that sings.
